Link-up puts area on line

TWO firms have linked up together to put East Lancashire on the line.

Call handling firm Interactive Connections has invested more than £30,000 in a state-of-the-art telephone system from Blackburn based Abbey Telecom..

The Glenfield Park-based company handles calls on behalf of businesses ranging from blue chip companies to one-man firms.

The new system, the most sophisticated ever installed by Abbey Telecom, will be able to cope with up to 6,000 calls a day.
