The class of 1950 at St James

READER Lee Evans has sent me this picture of five-year-olds at St James's School in Daisy Hill, Westhoughton in 1950.

His father-in-law, David Buckley of Leigh Road, is second from the left on the front row, his twin brother Charlie is on his right. Lee tells me that the brothers were both wearing wellingtons because they used to play at the nearby farm where David later worked.
