I AM frequently caught up in a traffic jams along St Peter's Way. Previously I had thought that this was due to people making their way to work or going shopping, however, thanks to the Bolton Evening News' article published on May 2, I am now aware that the jam might be caused by the 25,000 tourists who visit Bolton each day! (Figure quoted in the article was 9.3 million tourists per year) Perhaps Cllr David Wilkinson could explain how this figure is arrived at, as 25,000 people would represent 125 planes each carrying 200 passengers.
