Governor Bill rewarded

From the Lancashire Evening Telegraph, first published Monday 24th Jul 2006.

A LONG serving governor has been praised for his service at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School, Blackburn.

Receiving the plaudits was Bill Goodall as he presented the awards to junior school pupils at the West Park Road school's annual prize-giving ceremony.

The 74-year-old has been a governor at the school since 1979 including a five year stint as chairman of governors in the 90s.

And he attracted praise from QEGS headmaster Dr David Hempsall who said in his vote of thanks: "Mr Goodall's contribution to the school over the years has been absolutely peerless".
