'Bluesology' set for big take off

From the Bolton Evening News, first published Monday 24th Jul 2006.

Following news of the 'Bluesology Sessions' at New Bergeracs this Sunday several top artists from the Manchester's 'Acoustica' circuit have been added to the bill!

Headliners for the event will be top North West band ICE who have been receiving rave reviews for their unique brand of acoustic rock. Recently showcased on Wish FM the band have started making an impact on the festival circuit with their self-penned tunes.

Also appearing alongside the pick of Bolton's songsters will be highly acclaimed singer songwriters Colin Wakeford and Steve O'Donoghue, The Acoustic Pack and Bury's own Roydan.

Organiser Alec Marton says: "There will still be quite a few spots for local musicians who can just turn up on the day and we hope to see Bolton's music 'glitterati' out in force.

"Its been widely reported that acoustic music is the 'new groove' on the London scene, but the revival actually started here in the North West with Bolton (and The Buskers Ball in particular) playing a major role."

The Bluesology Sessions are at New Bergeracs, Bank St every Sunday from 4pm till late, and admission is free!
