Chance to fly high with wish charity

From the The Bolton News, first published Saturday 25th Aug 2007.

A PUB is reaching for the stars with a charity balloon launch to raise money for charity.

People at The Horwich Park Inn Havester near Middlebrook will be releasing 100 balloons into the sky on Monday to raise money for Make-A-Wish.

The charity aims to make the wishes of children with life-threatening diseases come true. The manager and the team at the Horwich Park Inn are currently selling race cards which cost £1, as they bid to raise money for the children's charity.

The owner of the balloon that travels the furthest will be in with a chance of winning a champagne trip for two in a hot air balloon.

Manager Phil Straus said: "Make-A-Wish is a really deserving cause and all the team here are aiming to beat last year's total and raise more money than ever before."
