Parade leads to road closures: Traffic updates

TOWN centre roads will be closed to make way for the Down Our Street' parade this Bank Holiday Monday.
Churchgate from Bradshawgate to Churchbank will be closed along with a number of streets near the Parish Church.
The closures will be in place between 7am and 7pm to make way for the colourful parade.
Jesters, stilt walkers and a Chinese dragon will make their way along Churchgate as part of the Down Our Street parade, celebrating the transformation of Churchgate, which began 12 months ago.
The dragon will roar its way down Churchgate at noon followed by open air entertainment.
Hungry visitors can try Jamaican food at Ye Olde Man and Scythe pub and there will be street entertainment from Activate Octagon Youth Theatre and music from a 15-piece jazz band.
Met Office forecaster Anton Muscat said there was a good chance the weather would stay fine for much of the celebrations, but warned there might be showers.
"Saturday should just about stay dry with some thick cloud coming in from the Irish Sea. There could be some drizzle and light rain with temperatures reaching 20C.
"For Sunday and Monday, Bolton will have a similar sort of day with a fair bit of cloud around and perhaps a few light showers, but again, chances are it will stay dry and there will be a bit of brightness now and again."
Meanwhile, the Highways Agency is predicting more than 18 million vehicles will take to the roads this weekend, with the M60 and M6 likely to be jammed as people escape for the long break.
Tourism chiefs at Visit Britain said 19 per cent of Britain's adult population was planning an overnight trip in the UK in the last two weeks in August.
