Road closed after car crash

A stretch of Montague Street, Blackburn, was closed last night following a crash involving a Nissan Sunny and a yellow Lamborghini.

The incident happened just after 7pm at the junction with Devonport Road. The male driver and passenger of the Nissan were cut from the vehicle by firefighters and taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital.

The male driver of the Lamborghini was unhurt but his male passenger was taken to hospital as a precaution.

The road was closed at the junction with Preston New Road for over two hours.
