Advice day for children starting school

Parents of young children due to start nursery or school in Bolton this term are invited to a special event where free advice will be on offer.

The event at Great Lever Children's Centre on Wednesday will provide parents in Great Lever with advice and information on issues relating to starting nursery and school.

There will be a variety of workshops, including reading with your children and road sense and safety.

In the afternoon, there will games with activities such as egg and spoon races and chase the kipper.

It will be an informal day and parents and their children are encouraged to pop along and find out more about all the services available through the Children's Centres.

Services involved include Speech and Language Therapy, Job Centre Plus, Live Arts, Bolton Road Safety Team, Food and Health and the children's centre teams.

The event will run from 10am to 3pm and for more information, call Nasim Vora on 01204 337333 at Great Lever Children's Centre, Leonard Street, Bolton.
