New skatepark success

THIS week the controversial skatepark in Bolton town centre was officially opened.

The £75,000 facility took over a former car park, upsetting some people, which is a shame because the skatepark is already a well-used facility. In fact, if there is one thing it has shown it is that here is a way to provide something that kids genuinely want.

Congratulations to Bolton Council for getting it done. Now, how about another, bigger one to help keep youngsters on skateboards and BMX bikes off the streets?
