Cash for club's fun days

CHEETONS Youth Club was granted £5,550 to run a three-day workshop for young and old.

The club, based in Lawrence Road, Blackburn, initially applied for £1,200 to run a one-day workshop to keep people off the streets and away from drugs and alcohol.

They were so successful in their application, supported by the police and local children, that they were given £2,500 by Cash for Communities and received £3,050 from the Communities Network Trust.

The three fun days ran between last Friday and Sunday,
