Man quizzed over Diamond Store raid

DETECTIVES are continuing to question a man in connection with a robbery at a Bolton town centre jeweller.

The 20-year-old man is being quizzed over the raid at The Diamond Store in Crown Street, where £30,000 worth of ear-rings, rings and pendants were stolen.

Three masked men wielding hammers men burst into the store at 11.20am on Tuesday and smashed display cabinets before putting jewellery in their pockets. They escaped in a silver car.
