Two arrests over cannabis farms

ONE man has been bailed and another is due in court in connection with two cannabis farms found in Bolton.

A 29-year-old Vietnamese man arrested after cannabis plants worth £100,000 were found at a drugs farm in Forton Avenue, Breightmet, last month, has been bailed until October 15.

Police raided the three-bedroom detached home after a tip-off and discovered about 200 plants.

In another case, Thanh Nguyen, aged 34, of no fixed address, is due before Bolton magistrates today charged with the cultivation of cannabis.

He was arrested on Tuesday in connection with a cannabis farm in New Chapel Lane, Horwich.

Police found 150 plants worth about £120,000.
